International Year One

International Year One allows you to begin earning credits toward your degree even if you don’t meet the English requirements for direct entry. You’ll receive additional support to move you successfully through your first year at Illinois State and graduate in the same amount of time as domestic students. Depending on your English language scores, you’ll enter International Year One through a 1-Semester, 2-Semester, or 3-Semester Pathway program.

Graduate Admissions

Direct Entry

If you meet the specified language and academic criteria you may apply directly to Illinois State University.

Graduate Pathway Programs

Our Graduate Pathway programs allow you to begin earning credits toward your degree even if you do not meet the direct entry requirements. The program will help build the academic foundation, essential English language skills and GMAT/GRE test preparation you need to successfully move on to your master’s degree. You’ll receive the highest level of support with dedicated academic advisors throughout your program. We offer a 1-Semester and 2-Semester option depending on your English language level.

The School of Information Technology is designed to prepare students to enter the rapidly changing world of technology with four different IT career tracks including systems development, web application development and enterprise computing systems.
